It can store 39 picture taken from a high quality digital camera in 4.5 frames and each picture size range from 6Mb and more.

New type of Fire extinguisher

We all have noticed the old cylindrical fire extinguisher in all office's and in all public places. I guess we should upgrade this fire extinguisher.
Here's a new type of fire extinguisher which is quite interesting than the old boring cylindrical extinguisher. Now people will start using this extinguisher because its kinda fun. Looks good like a Shortgun, and Co2 will given as in form of bullet to this gun.
I thing now we all should do aiming practice. Because when fire starts spreading so wildly we start panicking and aiming at wrong place.
If you keep yourself cool in difficult situation then you can play with fire by aiming it and shooting it out.
The main advantage is that, this gun can shoot with higher range as compares to the old spraying version.

1989's Batmobile car for sale.

If u are die hard fan of Batman then this is the time to do something expensive to show how far you can go to prove that you are true fan of Batman.
It's on Ebay now. So you need to bid really fast to take this beast. I guess it starts from $100,000.
This is one among the five Batmobile which was originally made for Micheal keaton movie.
I dont mind buying this car, but i guess it wont work for Indian road condition or else i would be the first person to buy if i was living in states.

Iam just wondering if a person buys this car will he
use it for his daily purpose or only for fancy dress
party lol. Then he should also buy the Batman's
outfit or stitch a new pair of Batman suit so that it
could match with car.

Iam back.

Sorry folks i was little busy with some other work so couldn't blog these day. Now as iam back will write frequently will let you all know about it.
keep sending your comments.

iPhone Voice Recognition in the Works

Labels:

iPhone users might soon be able to enjoy voice-recognition capability thanks to AT&T's efforts in developing a web-based platform known as Speech Mashups. This platform will send your speech to a remote server, translating commands to control your handset. Being web-based, the iPhone isn't the only device able to take advantage of such technology as it will also be compatible with majority of other browser-equipped AT&T handsets, wireless devices and TV set-top boxes - as long as there is an Internet connection. Cell phone owners ought to look into a good and cheap data plan if they're planning to make use of this frequently. Unfortunately, one major drawback for iPhone owners would be the inability for Speech Mashup to perform voice-dialing since it works with web-coded apps only, ruling out native apps on the iPhone.

iPod Swing Speaker in Korea

Neoneco has a new speaker peripheral for your iPod collection - the iPod Swing Speaker. Arriving first in the Korean market, this rechargeable stereo speaker is hooked to the rear side of a crystal case, capable of 10 hours of continuous audio playback when fully charged. There will be three models available to cater for iPod nano 3G, iPod Classic and iPod touch owners, with each individual iPod Swing Speaker retailing for approximately $30, $32 and$35, respectively.

E Ink Displays Used in Phones

Labels:

E Ink is toying with the idea of introducing its E Ink Vixplex Imaging Film for the outer display found in upcoming clamshell handsets, and this will definitely be a boon to the industry since e-ink consumes power only when there is a change in image, hence conserving battery life to an even greater extent. The first two handsets in the world that features this technology will be the Hitachi W61 (pictured on the right) and the Casio Model G’zOne, as they're both manufactured by Casio Hitachi Mobile Communications (CHMC) Co. of Japan. These displays are clearly visible even under direct sunlight, offering a viewing angle of up to 180-degrees.

AT&T Navigator Service goes Global

Labels:

News has it that AT&T's Navigator location-based service will be expanding overseas, giving bouquets to AT&T for being the first US carrier that offers international navigation capabilities. Known as the AT&T Navigator Global Edition, this service functions across 20 countries including North America, the U.S. Caribbean, and the majority of countries in Western Europe. It will also run perfectly fine within the boundaries of half a dozen Chinese cities - Beijing, Shanghai, Qingdao, Shenyang, Tianjin, and Qinhuangdao. This comes as no surprise since AT&T is an official sponsor of the US Olympic Team. The AT&T Navigator Global Edition will come with a $19.98 monthly fee and is compatible with the AT&T Tilt, RIM BlackBerry 8800, RIM BlackBerry Curve 8310, RIM BlackBerry Pearl 8110, Samsung BlackJack II, and the Motorola Q9h.

Plastic Motor Powered by Light

we know that solar and wind power can be converted to electricity, but research team led by professor Tomiki Ikeda at the Tokyo Institute of Technology has managed to come up with the world’s first plastic motor that uses a different process. It takes a different route compared to solar(electric)-powered motors, as it will convert light straight to mechanical energy courtesy of a belt constructed from a special elastomer that expands or contracts on a molecular level when illuminated, and this change depends on the wavelength of light. Of course, the prototype is still in its infancy so I'm pretty sure further research will yield something useful and practical for society in due time.

MP3 Player controlled by Eyes

Seems that scientists are working on other methods to control items around us without using our hands - the tongue-controlled wheelchair, a mind-controlled wheelchair, and now, an eye-controlled MP3 player. It will need to function with a custom-made pair of headphones that feature powerful microchips (surely weak ones aren't up to the job?) to do the job. All you need to do is roll your eyes upwards or downwards and the volume level will change accordingly, while a couple of quick eye jerks to the right or left will forward or go back a track. Do you think touch-based controls will soon die out (buttons, touch screen displays, etc) as such developments come about, or are buttons here to stay for good?

Wireless HD Standard Agreed Upon

Finally, we see some semblance of unity in the world of consumer electronics as bigwigs such as Sony, Sharp, Hitachi, Samsung and Motorola have agreed upon a new wireless HD video standard that offers interoperable wireless video streaming. Amimom has annoucend the WHDI consortium that comprise of the above mentioned members among others to form a standardized wireless HD specification and embedding it within future TVs, projectors and HD video sources. The specifications have yet to be finalized, but chances are it will be done at the end of the year with the firstfruits of such compatible devices to be released sometime next year.

Huawei M328 revealed by FCC

The FCC has revealed more about the Huawei M328 clamshell handset that will target the entry level market. This tri-band CDMA handset boasts support for MetroPCS' 1700 AWS spectrum, and will also work just fine with access to MetroPCS' mobile web services and third-party applications in addition to mobile email. MetroPCS is currently carrying the Huawei M328 for $109 a pop.

Acrylic Cowboy Computer Case

Digital Cowboy from Japan has unleashed its Acrylic Cowboy computer case range that does away with exterior case walls, which is a two-edged sword IMHO. It leaves your computer innards open to all sorts of mishaps (and a whole lot of dust attack) but will definitely run much cooler compared to a traditional PC case. There are various styles to choose from, ranging from the minimal orange platform design of the ACPC3 to the hot pink ACPCD and smoke grey/black ACPC4. All of these models are compatible with ATX or Micro ATX logic boards and come with the necessary bays to mount hard drives as well as other optical drives without much hassle. These Japan-only Acrylic Cowboy cases will retail for $37 all the way to $101, depending on the model chosen. That's really cool for test labs. Back in the days, we had to build these ourselves!

Vizio shows low-cost wireless sound bar and sub-woofer

Vizio the low cost flat-panel HDTV maker will be entering home audio market with its simulated surround sound sytem compromised of a slim speaker and a wireless subwoofer. It is yet unknown if Vizio's single speaker will be surround sound capable (like the Yamaha Sound Projector). The Vizio sound system is due for a September release, with pricing expected to be set at $299 a pop. If someone tests it or sees a good review, please add a comment – we want to know if this sound bar is all-look and no sound or if it has good audio qualities.

Western Digital VelociRaptor Hard Drive

Labels:

Western Digital's new VelociRaptor hard drive can now be used for low-power, high-performance blade server applications. The new VelociRaptor is a 2.5", 10,000RPM enterprise SATA drive that goes by the model number WD3000BLFS and was specially manufactured to fit in nicely within 1U and 2U rack servers. Other than the new use, it is more environmentally conscious, sipping up to 35% less power compared to the previous VelociRaptor drive. Less power consumption would mean a much higher savings at the end of the month when your electricity bill arrives. Not only that, less heat will be emitted and you won't have to let your air conditioners work so hard. The WD3000BLFS will come in capacities of up to 300GB and has a MTBF of 1.4 million hours. Look out for the WD3000BLFS to be available later this month, although pricing has yet to be disclosed.

Seagate Provides 500k GB for NBC during Olympics

Labels:

Seagate announced this week that it will be providing half a million gigabytes of storage for NBC's coverage of the Olympics, set to occur between August 8th to 24th. Everything will be stored on Seagate's Barracuda ES hard drives, which back up the network's Omneon MediaDeckmedia servers and MediaGridactive storage systems. NBC's coverage of the games will amount to three times that of their 2004 Athens Olympics, which is estimated to be around 3,600 hours.

Texas Memory breaks SSD capacity record (and budget) with RamSan-440

Texas Memory's RamSan-440 provides between 256GB and 512GB of RAM-based SSD storage, 600,000 IOPS, 4,500MB/sec random sustained external throughput and latency under 15-microseconds (yes, microseconds, not milliseconds). It weighs about 90 pounds and comes in a 4U rack-mount enclosureand claims to be the first SSD to use RAIDed NAND flash memory modules for data backup and comes at a record breaking budget of $150,000 for the 256GB version and $275,000 for the 512GB version respectively. Impressive specs!

Seitz Roundshot VR Drive Panoramic Set

It ain't easy taking a panoramic shot with your digital camera as you will first of all need a sturdy tripod and a decent camera, but good thing we have just the gadget that might offer a solution - the Seitz Roundshot VR Drive Panoramic Set. All you need to do is hook up your digital camera, set the rotation speed and various settings and you're good to go. There won't be any worries about vibration, dodgy shots or the like, leaving you with up to 72 shots for tedious stitching later on. Quality don't come cheap though, so be prepared to fork out a whopping £1,200 for the Seitz Roundshot VR Drive Panoramic Set. Man, and that price is without taxes factored in to begin with.

GPS Games arriving on Sony PSP

While the Japanese have been rocking out to GPS applications on their PSP for quite some time already, it appears as though the American segment of Sony will at long last bring such functionality over Stateside. In fact, they are working on a new game that will take advantage of GPS technology to offer a totally different playing experience everywhere you go. This new peripheral will also see how GPS changes the dynamics of games on the PSP, opening up new ways for games to engage the user. Well, quite talking about it and start working on something concrete soon!

Optimus Pultius has 15 Keys

The folks behind the Optimus keyboard have done it again, this time with the Optimus Pultius that has just 15 keys. Meant to be a peripheral that enhances your keyboard setup, the Pultius will feature tiny OLEDs on each key which is able to depict a small logo of the particular function. It is tipped to be released at the end of this year or early 2009, and pricing issues have yet to be set. Hopefully it won't cost you your firstborn though. I hope to see it at CES 2009 in Vegas.

Panasonic launches two new camcorders named HDC-SD100 which is $1299.95 and Hybrid HDC-HS100. Both can record at 1080p using the AVCHD format (an Mpeg-4 derivative). They also both record on SD cards Panasonic & Matsushita co-invented the format with Toshiba and Sandisk, but as its name indicates, the Hybrid HDC-HS100 which is of $1099.95 also have a 60GB hard drive. The camcorders are also good at taking photos. they come with a 3 Megapixel sensor and their software can wait for a smile before taking the shot. For my particular needs web stuff I’ll go for the flash-only SD100, because it is smaller than its HDD touting sibling.

GENIUS BOY

A year ago a footage emerged from a remote village in India . The video showed a young girl receiving surgery to separate her fingers, which were badly burned and fused together. Why did this operation make headlines around the world? The surgery was performed by a 7-year-old boy named Akrit Jaswal. Now 13 years old, Akrit has an IQ of 146 and is considered the smartest person his age in India -a country of more than a billion people. Before Akrit could even speak, his parents say they knew he was special. 'He learned very fast,' says Raksha, Akrit's mother. 'After learning the alphabet, we started to teach him joining of words, and he started writing as well. He was two.' At an age when most children are learning their ABCs, Akrit was reading Shakespeare and assembling a library of medical textbooks. When he was 5 years old, he enrolled in school. One year later, Akrit was teaching English and math classes. Akrit developed a passion for science and anatomy at an early age. Doctors at local hospitals took notice and started allowing him to observe surgeries when he was 6 years old. Inspired by what he saw, Akrit read everything he could on the topic. When an impoverished family heard about his amazing abilities, they asked if he would operate on their daughter for free. Her surgery was a success. After the surgery, Akrit was hailed as a medical genius in India . Neighbors and strangers flocked to him for advice and treatment. At age 11, Akrit was admitted to Punjab University .. He's the youngest student ever to attend an Indian university. That same year, he was also invited to London 's famed Imperial College to exchange ideas with scientists on the cutting edge of medical research. Akrit says he has millions of medical ideas, but he's currently focused on developing a cure for cancer. 'I've developed a concept called oral gene therapy on the basis of my research and my theories,' he says. 'I'm quite dedicated towards working on this mechanism.' Growing up, Akrit says he used to see cancer patients lying on the side of the road because they couldn't afford treatment or hospitals had no space for them. Now, he wants to use his intellect to ease their suffering. '[I've been] going to hospitals since the age of 6, so I have seen firsthand people suffering from pain,' he says. 'I get very sad, and so that's the main motive of my passion about medicine, my passion about cancer.' Currently, Akrit is working toward a bachelor's degrees in zoology, botany and chemistry. Someday, he hopes to continue his studies at Harvard University .
I feel proud that this guy is INDIAN
